Karkal: Crimes curbed by assisting with Law Enforcement Agencies - Laxmikant

Karkal, 27 Dec 2013 : Despite the most effective laws are in force, there has been rise in crimes on every passing day. In order to curb such menace, its essential that the general public and students join hands with law enforcing agencies, said the district teachers Association secretary Laxmikant Bhat.
Laxmikant was the chief guest speaking during students’ gram sabha of 2013 – 14 which was held at Belman gram panchayat auditorium, here on Thursday December 26.
The child-weddings and rape cases are increasing in the recent past, while it would be curbed with the support of general public and law enforcement agencies, said Laxmikant. He also briefed on the role of students in curbing child labor and child trafficking.
Belman gram panchayat vice president Srilata presided the meeting.
PDO Shekar Nayak, taluk teachers Association president V K Rao Nandalike, Devdas Patkar, gram panchayat members Janardhan Tantri and Ganesh were present.
The gram panchayat secretary compered the programme.
