Udupi: Ayyappa Swamy’s Devotees arrived by Foot from Mumbai accorded Grand Welcome

Udupi, 20 Dec 2013: The devotees of Sabarimale Swami Ayyappa at Shankarapura and fisheries women accorded grand welcome to Ayyappa devotee Chandrahasa Guruswamy Innanje led group of devotees who arrived here by foot from Andheri, Mumbai.
Guruswamy has been going on pilgrimage to Sabarimale since the past 28 years and embarked on sixth pilgrimage by foot along with 11 pilgrims from Mumbai.
Speaking to media persons, Guruswamy said that they have begun their pilgrimage journey from Mumbai on November 19 and reached Katpady, near here in 25 days. They will offer puja at Shankarapura temple and continue their onward journey along with further 9 devotees on December 23.
They hope to reach Sabarimale by January 12, altogether a distance of 1,830 kilometers, said Guruswamy.
Gururswamy was accompanied by other devotees B K Guruswamy, Veerendra Swamy, Vijaya Swamy, Yuvaraj Swamy, Sunil Swamy, Ashok Swamy, Dinesh Swamy, Nityanand Swamy, Ajay Swamy, Kamalesh Swamy and Vasu Swamy who reached Katpady, near here by foot from Mumbai.
