Udupi: Mega Health Checkup Camp Inaugurated at Shirva

Udupi, 9 Dec 2013: Rotary Club International (RCI) – Shirva, Bharat Nirman – Shirva unit jointly organized mega health checkup camp in association with KMC Hospital, Mangalore at community health centre, Shirva, near here on Sunday December 8.
ZP member Ida Gilbert D’Souza inaugurated the free health checkup camp.
Speaking on the occasion, Ida expressed happiness over organizing health check up camps at the aegis of RCI and other social welfare organizations at community health centre by the leadership of resident medical officer Dr Vasudev Upadhyaya.
Shirva gram panchayat vice president Deepika Shalet D’Souza presided the function.
KMC Hospital orthopedic surgeon Dr Ramachandra Kamat provided information on his specialized field, while Dr Upadhyaya offered information about the arrangements at the camp.
The veteran medical practitioner Dr K R Venkatakrishna, RCI past presidents Dr Gururaj, Mathias Lobo and Michael Mathias were present.
RCI – Shirva president Leo Noronha welcomed the gathering. The health assistant Geeta rendered the prayers. RCI – Shirva secretary Raghupati Ithal proposed vote of thanks. The senior health assistant Nagayya Hiremat compered the programme.
Over 200 people participated in the mega health checkup camp in all specialties on the occasion.
