Udupi: Shirva Unit Convenes Preparatory Meet on Alvas Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat

Udupi, 30 Nov, 2013 : Shirva unit of Alvas Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat – 2013 convened a discussion meet of veterans of religious, educational institutions, social and cultural organizations of Shirva locality, near here at the residence of social activist Kollabettu Ravindra Shetty on Thursday November 28.  Alvas Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat – 2013, will be held in Moodbidri from December 19 to December 22.

 
Shirva unit president Babita Jagdish Aras presided the meeting.

 

 
 
Alvas College Professor T A N Kandige in his introductory address elaborated on the arrangements that are underway to stage Alvas Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat – 2013 led by Dr M Mohan Alva which would bring global audience along with people from across the nation to witness the first ever Alvas Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat at Moodbidri.  Professor Kandige also sought the active support of local Committees that were formed for the success of the mega event.

 
Shirva – Our Lady of Health parish priest Fr Stany Tauro, Shirva – St Mary’s College principal Professor Rajan, MSRS College principal Professor Subramanya Bhat, Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project – Jan Jagruti Samiti state president K Devdas Hebbar, the local leader Norbert Machado, Alvas Education Foundation ® representatives Deviprasad Shetty and Gopal K and Sachin were present on the occasion.

 
The local Committees were formed to undertake membership drive and to pool head-load offerings at the chairmanship of Fr Stany Tauro.

 
The office bearers of Rotary Club International (RCI) Shirva, Lions Club, heads of worship centers, social and voluntary service organizations, Shirva gram panchayat and others were present on the occasion.
