Udupi: Women Capable of Instilling Human Values in her Children – Manjula Jayakar

Udupi, 25 Nov 2013: The women plays greater role in procreation. She is capable of instilling human values in their children. We not only had to read the literature and follow the better aspects in our life, said Manjula Jayakar, resource person of education department, Brahmavar.
Manjula was speaking on the series of literature that emphasizes the role of women in upholding human values that was held during women’s convention organized by Mangalore-based Shanthi Prakashan at Town Hall, here on Sunday November 24.
MGM College Professor Sharada said that the social reformer Kanakadasa, Sufi, Saints, Jesus Christ, Prophet Mohammed Paigambar all conveyed the message of universal brotherhood, said Professor Sharada.
Anupama, women’s monthly magazine sub-editor Kulsum Abubakker, while elaborating on the role of women in the literature published by Shanthi Prakashan said that the books that are published by the Shanthi Prakashan lay emphasis on due respect to women and empowerment.
Swaraj Laxmi, Mariam Asadi and Zunaida Malpe shared their literary experiences on Shanthi Prakashan.
Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Karnataka advisory Committee member Sameer Jahan presided the function.
Jamaat-e-Islami Hind district women wing convener Sameena Shukoor was present at the dais.
Humaira Karkal delivered the introductory address. Jameela welcomed the gathering. Gulnaaz recited the verses from Holy Quran, Farhat interpreted in Kannada. Shahida Riyaz proposed vote of thanks.
