Road Roller Brings tragedy to 3-Year-Old Baby at Belman

Karkal, 8 Nov 2013: Three-year-old baby died on the spot and couple riding on a motorcycle was injured when a road roller was moving in reverse mode, which was engaged in widening of Karkal – Padubidri road at Belman, near here on Thursday November 7.

 
The injured has been identified as Nandalike – Laxmi Janardhan temple priest Madhusudan Bhat and his pregnant wife Shruti Bhat.  Their three-year-old daughter Sharvari died on the spot.  They were admitted in a private hospital here.

 

 
The body of Sharvari is placed at state-run primary health centre, Belman.

 
MP Jayaprakash Hegde, Karkal former MLA H Gopal Bhandary, ZP member Supreet Shetty, TP member Xavier D’Mello paid visit to the hospital.
