Using sword in public: Case filed against RSS

Mangalore, 27 Oct 2013: Mangalore South Police has registered a case against RSS volunteers for carrying swords in their hands while conducting route march in the city on Sunday.

 

The case was registered based on a complaint filed by Mazair Ahmed (24), a resident of CPC Compound, Kudroli. A case under Section 153 has been registered for promoting enmity between different groups on ground of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc., and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony.

 

Mazair had stated in the complaint that he was frightened after seeing four men in RSS uniform marching shaking swords in their hands. He pleaded that suitable action be taken against the organisers.

 

Police sources said that the case is under investigation.
