M’lore: Dr Hanock Nischal, PG Resident of FMM College Bags Swimming Champion

Mangalore, 24 Sep, 2013 : Dr Hanock Nischal, PG Resident in the department of ENT, Father Muller Medical College has brought laurels to the institution.
Dr Hanock has won gold medals in 100 meters backstroke, 50 meters backstroke and 100 meters free style, silver medals in 200 meters freestyle and 200 meters breaststroke and bronze medal in 50 meters freestyle in the inter collegiate swimming competition organized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences on September 18 at Kempe Gowda Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore.
Despite of his busy schedule and pressing academic commitment he has been able to achieve this which is a role model to all the other students. When approached the water boy Hanock Nischal, he said, ‘This is not a recent development, I have been in waters from the age of four.’
He further said that there is no shortcut for success. It is his hardwork and determination which has made this possible. He also expressed his gratitude towards Dr George Pinto, head of the department of ENT who encouraged him to pursue passion.
