Udupi: Enlightenment gained by Spiritual Bliss Greater Indeed – Vidwan Shambudas

Udupi, 11 Sep 2013 : The society has been divided into different castes, sub castes, religions, sects, that have indeed jeopardized the original culture. The majority of Hindu community is divided due to selfishness, egotism, jealousy and dirty politics and become minority within the community. In order to become selfless, one should get rid of ill knowledge, wrong conceptions and keep away from evil forces. If one lives by his inner conscience, the life will be worthwhile. The knowledge gained through spiritual bliss is great indeed, said Vidwan Shambudas Guruji, religious head of Parashurameshwar temple, Kutyar, near here.
Vidwan Shambudas was speaking during thirty-third Ganeshotsav religious programme that was organized by public celebration of Ganeshotsav Committee, Shirva, near here on Tuesday September 10.
One should respect his/her parents and teachers. Ganeshotsav enhances religiousness and will be able to attain graces from Lord Siddi Vinayaka, if one loves his fellowmen and lives in harmony in the society, added Vidwan Shambudas.
Kinnigoli – Pompeii College retired lecturer Sridar D S delivered the religious lecture.
Shirva sub-inspector B Ashok distributed the prizes to the winners of various cokpetitions on the occasion.
Vedamurti Kenja Sridar Tantri felicitated the talented students and donors.
Ganeshotsav Committee vice president Tammanna Poojary was present at the dais.
Shirva – St Mary’s High School headmaster Devendra Nayak introduced the guests. Ganeshotsav Committee president K Sundar Prabhu welcomed the gathering. The secretary Kollabettu Ravindra Shetty read the annual report. Venkatesh Kamat proposed vote of thanks. The lecturer H S Gopal compered the programme.
Belle Kamalaksha Shenoy Memorial Scholarship:
The scholarship was distributed to poor students of 10 schools in the neighbourhood, who have lost their parents. The late Kamalaksha was a philanthropist, social worker and inspiration to organize public celebration of Ganeshotsav and for voluntary organizations.
Ganeshotsav Committee president K Sundar Prabhu said that more funds will be pooled from donors, in order to help more number of poor students.
