Karkal : Students of Belman Parish School Celebrate Teacher’s Day in Unique Manner

Karkal, 06 Sep, 2013 : The students of St Joseph’s Kannada and English Medium School, Belman, near here celebrated the birth anniversary of education expert, philosopher and former Indian President Dr S Radhakrishnan in a unique manner.
The students decorated the class rooms, wrote Guruvandane slogans on the black board, presented roses and mementoes to each teacher, shared sweets on the occasion.
The students also held variety competitions for the teachers, and entertained them with variety dances, singing songs in their honor.
The enjoyed the whole day in the company of their teachers, savored mid-day hot meals along with sweet dishes.
The students showered flowers on the portrait of Dr Radhakrishnan during a simple function.
Belman – St Joseph’s Education Institutions correspondent presided the programme and commended the way the students held the celebration of Teacher’s Day.
He also honored the mid-day meals kitchen staff on the occasion.
The student’s leader Sumant Naik, deputy leader Shubhalaxmi presented flowers to the teachers.
St Joseph’s Kannada Medium School head teacher Sr Monica, English Medium School head teacher Janet D’Souza, Convent superior Usha Stella, teachers were present at the dais.
Neha Nayak welcomed the gathering. Juanita Andrade explained the significance of Teacher’s Day celebration. Abhijit Moolya compered the programame. Janishya Noronha proposed vote of thanks.
