Reforming oneself is greatest Social Service – Suryaprakash

Udupi, 2 Jul 2013 : Taking leadership is an acid test in life. If the politicians embody the discipline of Rotary Club International (RCI), it would lead to societal progress. Each Rotarian has the attributes of time sense, conviction to live by words, generosity, willingness to change and no greed for authority. The greatest of social service is to reform oneself , said Rotary district governor K Suryaprakash Bhat.
Bhat was speaking during the installation of new office bearers of Rotary Club – Padubidri, during a function held at Amar Complex, Padubidri, near here on Sunday June 30.
Rotary president Gangadhar Salian presided the function.
The assistant governor Madhav Suvarna released ‘Spandana’ bulletin during the programme.
Bhat felicitated senior journalist Ramachandra Acharya at the same occasion.
Keshav Moily, journalist Abdul Hamid and Ashok Poojary joined as members of the Rotary.
Gangadhar welcomed the gathering. Secretary Hemachandra presented the report. The new secretary B S Acharya proposed vote of thanks. Damodar Suvarna compered the programme.
