M’lore: Mangalore South Block Congress Committee organizes Party Activists Meet

Mangalore, 30 Jun 2013: Mangalore south block Congress Committee organized party activists meet at Rama Kshatriya Ahalya Janardhan Hall, here on Sunday June 30.
Jeppu - St Joseph’s College principal Fr Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, Bolar – Mukyaprana temple chief priest Guruprasad Bhat and Jeppu – Mahakalipadpu Jumma masjid Khatib Abdul Rehman Madani inaugurated the meet here on Sunday morning.
Congress veterans M A Masood, Kodijal Ibrahim, A C Jayaraj, KPCC general secretary Ivan D’Souza, MLA J R Lobo, state health minister U T Khader, were present at the occasion.
Congress veteran Jaganivas Shetty was felicitated during the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, minister U T Khader thanked the AICC leaders for giving him an opportunity to serve the people with health portfolio. He also urged the party men to be united disregarding any differences in the interest of party, urged minister Khader.
Masood urged the party activists to make Mangalore south block Congress Committee a role model to the entire Dakshina Kannada district.
MLA J R Lobo urged the party activists to strengthen the party in grass root-level with the view of forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. He appealed to party men to show the same unity that was exemplified in the recently held both civic polls and assembly elections.
Ivan D Souza appealed to the party activists to be united focusing on the forthcoming general elections during 2014.
Mangalore south block Congress Committee president Nagendra Kumar welcomed the gathering. Chief secretary Sudhir Kadekar proposed vote of thanks. Razak compered the programme.
