Karkal: District Malaria Control Officer Seeks General Support

Karkal, 7 Jun 2013: The health department has embarked on several programmes to curb communicable diseases, while the active participation of general public is essential in effect implementation of such programmes, said district malaria control officer Dr H Ashok.
Dr Ashok was the resource person speaking at Malaria observation month June – 2013 that was jointly organized by Udupi ZP, district health and family welfare department, primary health center – Belman, Government High School – Sooda, JCI – Belman, health, hygiene and nutrition Committee – Sooda and Belman gram panchayat here on Thursday June 6.
Ritesh Shetty, headmaster of Government High School – Sooda inaugurated the programme here on Thursday morning.
Belman gram panchayat president Shankar Kundar presided the programme.
ZP member Suprit Shetty Kedinje released handbills on malaria.
TP member Xavier D’Mello, district health education officer Satyanarayan, primary health center medical officer Dr Satish, JCI president Raghunat Nayak Punaru, Belman panchayat member Gerry L D’Souza were present at the dais.
The teacher Ramesh Sooda compered the programme. Taluk health senior officer Shivaram bhat proposed vote of thanks.
