Udupi: Hindu PU College, Shirva Begins Science Classes

Udupi, 15 May 2013: Hindu Pre-University College, Shirva, near here will be beginning science classes with effect from the academic year 2013 to 14.
It will offer seats to poor students at discounted fees and free education to SSLC passed-outs who have secured over 40 percent marks.
The science classes will begin with the help of Nitte University chancellor Dr N Vinay Hegde who is the chairman Shirva Vidhyavardaka Sangh ® that governs Hindu Pre-University College.
The science department has been set up with modern classrooms, laboratories, library and all the facilities that are essential for personality development of students. It has been developed at a cost of Rs 44 lac.
The department has qualified and experienced lecturers, and there are plans to organize special vocational classes and exam training classes. The students will be provided with free mid-day hot meals, besides hostel facility for girl students. The talented students are urged to take advantages of the classes, urged the governing council.
