Moodbidri: Town Police Book Case on MLA Abayachandra Jain & others

Moodbidri , 4 May 2013 : The court directed town police to book cases on MLA Abayachandra Jain, his nephew Padmaprasad and other Congress activists related to attempted assault and life threats to Times of Bedra weekly editor Jaison Taccode.

When Jaison was coming after distributing the papers to a few newspaper stalls here on Friday May 3 afternoon, Padmaprasad tried to assault him and also abused his religion, threatened to kill. Padmaprasad and other Congress activists are involved in this act with the support of MLA Abayachandra Jain, complained Jaison to the police.
The town police registered the case on the instruction of court. The attempt was done at the backdrop of report on Congress candidate that was published in Times of Bedra weekly.
Counter-complaint:
The Congress activist and lawyer Padmaprasad lodged the complaint at the town police that Times of Bedra weekly editor Jaison Taccode had threatened him, when the former was coming after partaking in walkathon.
