Kundapur: Respecting Women is the duty of every Citizen

Kundapur, 29 Mar 2013: Recently International Women’s Day was celebrated under the auspices of the Kundapura Women’s and Children’s welfare committee, JCI as well as JCRite wing. The function was inaugurated by Ms Shashikala Bijooru, Head Teacher of B. R. Raya Hindu School and was held at Kundeshwara Temple community hall. Shri Rajagopal Holla, president of the Kundeshwara Temple management committee, wished all success to the event. Ms Gunarathna, ex president and present member of the municipal council presided.
Present were Ms Rajeshwari – child welfare officer, Ms Usha K. –Taluk Anganawadi employees association president, Ms Ravikala Ganesh –municipal council member, Jaycee N. Prakash –president of JCI Kundapura, Ms Nagarathna –JCrite president and Ms Shrimathi – Union president of Taluk Women’s Power. On this occasion Ms Mukambika Paduvari, a woman of special needs from Bynduru, was honoured. Accepting the honour she requested everyone to give prominence to women in all walks of life and respect them.
After the function prizes were distributed to the winners in sports events. Immediate past president JCrite Ms Tanuja Prakash welcomed, Jaycee Rathnakar compeered and secretary Jaycee Raviraj Achar thanked.
