M’belle: Vidyavahini Channel inaugurated in Ch. H.P School

Moodubelle, 20 Mar 2013: As the Church Aided Higher Primary School is at the threshold of its Centenary Year, the much awaited Vidyavahini Channel that helps in educating the students of the school that was sponsored along with the TV set by the family members of late Dr. R. R. Koradkal in his memory was inaugurated on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 12.30 pm in the school.
On this occasion, Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes recalled the free service rendered by late Dr. R.R. Koradkal as medical officer to the school for more than forty years. Floral tribute was offered to the portrait of late Dr. R.R. Koradkal.
The computer facility that was donated by Mrs. Lilly mathias in memory of her late husband Isaac Mathias was handed over to the Correspondent of the school, Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes. The Old Students Association was in the forefront in acquiring the computer facility to the school through Mrs. Lilly Mathais. During this occasion Mr. Gopalkrishna Rao and Dr. Rajeshwari Rao were felicitated. Mr. Valerian Lobo, an old student of the school who has sponsored the honorarium of one teacher for one year was also honoured.
Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes presided over the porogramme. Sylvester Mathias, headmaster of the school welcomed the guests. Gerald Fernandes introduced the guests. The programme was attended by Rajendra Shetty, president of Belle Grama Panchayat and also president of the Old Students Association, Joint Secretary Maxim D’Sa, Taluk Panchayat member Devdas Hebbar, Management Committee members Benedict Martis and Mrs. Meera Lobo and Ivan Almeida were present for the programme. Alphonse K. Alva, vice president of the Parish Pastoral Council proposed the vote of thanks. Narasimah Rao compeered the programme.
