Jaison Taccode to launch new Kannada Weekly

Mangalore,05 March 2013: Eminent youth from our community, Jaison Soares from Taccode, is all set to launch ’Times of Bedra’, a Kannada Weekly, from his native Moodbidri. He has already got his newspaper registered from Registrar of Newspapers for India, and is set to release the maiden issue in mid-March.
Jaison Taccode, a Post-Graduate in Mass Communications & Journalism, has more than 10 years of working experience in various media establishments. Being a youth leader, he has served as president of Mangalore Diocesan ICYM & YCS, and is currently an active member of Kanara Entrepreneurs, Bangalore.
’The main objective of this weekly would be to bring awareness among people – which is the need of the hour. We believe to live in a democratic nation, and still tend to be dumb against the vicious aspects rampant in the society’ he says.He started his career as graphic designer, later joined Vijaya Karnataka Mangalore Edition as paginator. From the beginning of his career, his work was evident for the special stories on social cause.
Jaison has also worked for Mithr Weekly, Amcho Yuvak, Daivik Amrith Monthly before shifting himself to Bangalore, where he pursued higher education in Mass Communication & Journalism. Meanwhile he worked with different electronic media firms.
Being also a RTI activist, he is responsible in bringing to light many irragularities at various levels of governance. He was given ’Vishveshvaraiah Award’ in 2012 December, at Akhila Bharatha Kannada Patrika Sampadakara Samavesha held at Bangalore.
