City Cops nab Peddlers of Narcotic Substance at Manipal

Udupi, 23 Feb 2013: The sleuths of Manipal station arrested trios while peddling narcotic substance at nearby Mannapallakere, Manipal here on Thursday February 21.
The arrested has been identified as thirty-seven-year-old Govindaswamy, a native of Devarahalli in Shikaripura taluk of Shimoga district, twenty-nine-year-old Annappa, a native of BRT Colony in Chennagiri taluk of Davanagere district and fifty-year-old Dharmappa, a native of Kannur village in Sagar taluk of Shimoga district.
The sleuths seized 2.300 kilograms of narcotic substance worth about Rs 70,000, Rs 2,000 cash, 4 mobile handsets, 5 ATM cards, Tavera SUV, 2 wrist watches, PAN cards and voter IDs. The cost of items seized from trios is about Rs 7.76 lac.
Manipal circle police inspector Sadanand A T, sub-inspector Ravi Kumar, police personnel Nagesh, Vikram Devadiga, Prasanna Salian, Raghavendra, Vikram B and Guruprasad were involved in this operation.
The accused were presented before the court that awarded judicial custody for them.
