Mangalore: Education Essential for Community Development

Mangalore, 30 Oct 2012: “All-round development of a society depends on good organisation, education, culture and also advancement in social and industrial fields. To create a progressive society along with education, culture also is important”, said the president of the Rajapura Saraswatha Brahmana Sangha (R), Bantakallu – Manipala and president of the standing committee of Udupi Jilla Panchayath Mr B. Upendra Nayak.
He was the chief guest at a function organised by Rajapura Saraswatha Sangha, Mangaluru at Kodialbail Vaishya Samaja conference hall on Sunday 28, October during the Sri Sathya Narayana puje and to honour the achievers and the outstanding students.
Coastguard Circle Inspector, Mr Mukunda Nayak, speaking on the occasion said that to make use of the different benefits extended to the society by the government, the educated members of the society should join various government departments as employees.
Presiding over the function, Mangaluru Rajapura Saraswatha Sangha president, Mr N. Upendra Nayak said that the parents should be enlightened not to send their brilliant students for medical and technical professions only but instead span out to other fields such as banking, teaching etc.
Senior member, Mr Belpathre Baburaya Nayak, honoured Udupi Jilla Panchayath President B. Upendra Nayak and Coastguard Circle Inspector Mr Mukunda Nayak on behalf of the Sangha. He also honoured the outstanding students. Sanatana Society member, Mr Ramesh Nayak , enlightened the audience about religious fundamentals and culture. On the dais were Dr Upendra Nayak Pernankila and Laxmi Bandodkar. Secretary Mr M. R. Prabhu welcomed the gathering and Drithi Nayak lead the audience in prayer. Mr P.D. Nayak proposed vote of thanks. Archakas Balakrishna Bhat and Sathyanaraya Bhat conducted the religious rituals. The programme ended with cultural programmes.
