Bharath Nirman Workshop held in Bagepalli

Bagepalli, 09 October 2012: Bharath Nirman public information andholan’s 2nd day workshop was held on 8th October. Agriculture Department Joint Director Raghavendra provided information to the farmers. He said that in the agriculture department will provide 50% financial assistance for the machineries, he briefed on the usage of agricultural machineries to reduce the production cost, protection of plants and vegetation, small scale irrigation project, suitable fertilizers with nominal rates and the fecilities which are available in the department which the farmers need to avail, he explained.
Bagepalli drinking water project Engineer Gopal spoke about the drinking water arrangement in the surrounding villages and said that the water is supplied from Chitravati river to 72 villages and chloride free water to 62 villages. He said that the project is in the completion stage. He briefed on the hygienic methods on the storage water and appealed to the people not to waste the water.
Chikabalapur Agriculture department Deputy Director Devarajappa suggested to cultivate the mangoes and cashews which give less yield by grafting the farms thus increase the yield and export the good quality fruits including sapota to the foreign countries. He said that the farmers who grow sapota, mango and banana are being given 50% financial assistance and also decorative flowers and rose plantation farmers also can avail this, he said.
Bharat Nirman is an Indian plan for creating basic rural infrastructure. It comprises projects on irrigation, roads, housing, water supply, electrification and telecommunication connectivity. Bharat Nirman is a plan for rural infrastructure which was implemented by the Government of India in order to provide some basic amenities to the rural India.
