Mangalore, 03 Jun 2012: Hitting back at Rahul Gandhi for terming BJP-ruled Karnataka as the "most corrupt" state, Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda today said the UPA government was steeped in scams and asked the Congress General Secretary to keep his house clean before criticising others.
Rahul has no right to criticise the BJP when Congress- led UPA government is steeped in corruption and scams, he told reporters. "The Congress leader must first keep his house clean before criticising others," he said.
Rahul had yesterday lashed out at the Sadananda Gowda government, saying there was no other state as corrupt as BJP-ruled Karnataka. He had asked Congress workers to stay united to remove the state government.
Speaking in Chitradurga, Gowda said despite Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s recent visit to a drought-affected village, the Centre had not responded to the plight of the farmers.
As against the drought-relief of Rs 6,500 crore sought by Karnataka, the Centre had sanctioned only Rs 283 crore, Gowda said.

Rahul cannot clean his own house because the house is divided by itself as a coalition. But in Karnataka BJP being in absolute majority (through corruption of course) like in Gujarat, can keep its house clean as all the Kannadigas want it to be. |
