Udupi: Mallya visits Kollur to save King Fisher

Udupi, 30 April 2012: International entrepreneur Vijay Mallya has been visiting various temples to save his King Fisher Company and he also visited Kollur Shri Mukambika Temple on Sunday. As per the popular treditions he conducted the Chandika Homa to Devi. He was suppose to arrive in the morning for the Homa, but came late in the afternoon at 3.00 pm. At the temple premises he was welcomed by the former Management Committee President Krishnaprasad Adyantaya and Temple Officers.
Mallya’s close ones had already conducted the Homa in the scheduled time. Later in the evening Sudarshana Homa and Suvasini Pooja were conducted and witnessed the Devi Pooja. There was instructions through the Police not to picture the activities. Mallya did not agree to speak to the media, but when he was asked what did he pray? he answered ‘I prayed to save me from the media’ he joked.
As the King Fisher Airlines Company is in loss of crores of rupees, Mallya had asked Astamanagala question recently. On this occasion he was told to visit the temples in the coastal areas and perform Poojas there. Accordingly he has visited Kukke Subrahamanya, Venkataramana Temple in Bantwal and now he came to Kollur.
Vijaya Mallya who visited Kollur 10 years ago had installed golden sheet to the flag post costing rupees 50 lakhs. This time when Mallya asked what service he may do, Adyantaya proposed on the Goshale. Mallya has assured to help that proposal completely.
