Shirva: Leaders pay tribute to Dester D’Souza

Shirva, 24 March 2012: Youth leader of Shirva, Social worker, Dester D’Souza (49 years) passed away on Thursday due to brain hemorrhage. He had served as the Chief Secretary of the Youth Janatha Dal of undivided D.K. district and was the owner of Shirva Blossom Enterprises, Sari Centre, Travel Agency and used to keep himself involved in the free service of common man. He was unmarried and was the Director of Shirva ICYM.
Local and outside people and dignitaries have expressed condolences on his untimely demise. Central Minister M. Veerappa Moili, Former MP Vinayakumar Sorake, AICC Secretary Ivan D’Souza, Kaup Former BJP MLA Kollabettu Ravindra Shetty, Mangalore Municipal Mayor Gulzar Banu, Shirva Rotary Elect President William Machado, Shirva Church Pastoral Council Secretary Melwine Aranha, Office Bearers of various Organizations visited his residence and paid their homage.
In the funeral service conducted in Shirva St. Mary’s Church the Parish Priests of more than 40 Parishes, Sisters and people had participated in huge numbers.

It shocking and sad to learn the untimely dear of our friend Dextor. I had known of his social work and his ever ready nature to help others. I pray that his soul may rest in peace and pray that the Almighty give strength to his family members to bear this terrible loss. Esp. to Sharan, Ivan, Fr. Onil, Betty, Ozy and Violet. |
