Rotary Club Remembers Pangala Vittala Shenoy

Shirva, 01 March 2012: Rotary Club Shirva remembered one of the founders of Shirva Rotary, Senior education expert Pangala Vittala Shenoy on his death anniversary on 28th February. Rotary President Ronald Sequeira presided over the program held in Bantakal Shirva Rotary Sabhabhavana. Rotary District Deputy Trainer B. Pundalika Marathe spoke, remembering the services of Pangala Vittala Shenoy and said that his principles are the guidelines to others.
Rotary Former President Lucas D’Souza, Rotaty District Deputy Governor K.R. Patkar spoke on the occasion. In the Rotary Family get-together that followed, the couples who are celebrating their wedding anniversary, Rotary President Ronald Sequeira – Lavina Sequeira and Secretary Leo Noronha – Agnes Noronha were felicitated.
Elected President William Machado conducted fun games. In the program B.M. Samaga Padubelle, Vincent Noronha Pamboor, Dr. N.S. Shetty Padoor were present. Preeti Panduranga Kamath and Sandesh Kumar conducted prayers. Raghupathi Aythal compeered the program.

| Sir Vittall Shenoy was indeed a great educationist and was instrumental in shaping future of hundreds of students including me. He was also a good orator and great leader and had a great vision not only for his pupils but society at large.. My his soul rest in peace. The organizers at least should have arranged for a portrait of his to pay respect since this meeting was esp. was held in memory of him. | |
