5 Journalists were awarded at Bannanje Ramacharya Function

Udupi, 08 February 2012: In the recent days the atmosphere has been created such that, it is not possible to get awards without having influence on the organizers. So on many occasions the deserving candidate never get the awards, said Senior Scholar Bannanje Govindacharya. He was speaking upon awarding five Journalists during the Bannanje Ramacharya honouring function.
Speaking further he said that, my brother Ramacharya was pursuing me to take up writing in my young age. If anyone comes to invite for giving speech he used to send me. So with love and affection he brought me up as an writer and a speaker, said Govindacharya.

Damodara Aythal, Udayavani Mangalore News Division Head Manohara Prasad, Vijay Karnataka Mangalore Zone Deputy Editor Seethalaxmi Karkikodi, Senior Reporter Mohammed Arif Padubidri and Senior Journalist Chidambara Bikampady were given award and were honoured. On behalf of the awardees Damodara Aytha and Manohara Prasad spoke.
District active Journalist’s Association President Ambathanaya Mudradi presided over the function. Udayavani Editorial Advisor N. Gururaj was the chief guest. Program Coordinator Former MLA U.R. Sabhapathi welcomed the guests and the gathering. Kaup Vidyaniketana CEO V.K.
