Shirva: Youth play key role in building the community – Navneet Shetty

Shirva, 30 January 2012: In the society for the preservation of the unity, culture and tradition the associations should give necessary training to the youth and groom the future leaders. For the building of healthy society the right usage of youths is important, opinioned Times of India’s Chief Marketing Manager Kadri Navaneeta Shetty.
He was speaking as a chief guest in the 37th annual celebration program of Young men’s Sports and Cultural Association Shirva.
Achievers in the various fields were felicitated on this occasion, who are; Entrepreneur Manohar Shetty Shirvakodu (Social Service), Henri Almeida (Association/Donor), Seethalxmi (1st Rank in B Com), Dr.Prakash Shenoy (Education – Research).
The program was presided over by K.S. Shridharamurthy - Retired Lecturer of St. Mary’s P.U. College. In memory of Late Sudhakar Kamath, scholarship was distributed to the eligible students studying in the local schools. The scholarship was sponsored and handed over by NRI Henri Almeida. Winners in the competiton were given prizes by Robert Machdo.
Radhika Shetty, Ramananda Shirva, Gangadhara Shetty and Malavika conducted introduction. Babita Aras and Jajashree Shetty conducted prayers. Association President Felix Menezes welcomed the guests and the gathering. Lecturer Anantha Moodithya and K. Ravindra Shetty compeered the program. Sathishchandra proposed vote of thanks. In the cultural program which followed, Chirag, Naimisha and Diksha presented dance. Vaividya and Sharan Kaikamba presented mimicry. Later Namana Kalavider Moodbidri performed “Buddi Budaye” Tulu comedy drama.
