Shirva: “Healthy Baby Competition” held by Mahila Mandala

Shirva, 20 November 2011: Women need to be alert on the future of their children and on their own rights. It is necessary for women to be united for the sake of refined education for their children and exploitation-free life of women, said Udupi Taluk Mahila Mandala Association President, Rajyotsava district award winner Sheela K.Shetty. She was speaking upon giving away the prizes to the winners of the “Healthy Baby Competition” and the various other competitions held for women, which were organized at Shirva Mahila Mandala, on Thursday.
The program was presided over by Jilla Panchayath Member Ida Gibba D’Souza. Mahila Mandala President Babita Aras, Vasanti Gopal, Hon. Advisor K. Sundara Prabhu, Veena Chandrashekar were present on the dias. Malati A. Mudittaya read the report. Vanita Devendra Nayak compeered the program. Lecturer Ananta Mudittaya gave details of the winners in the various competitions. Shwetha Giridhara Prabhu proposed vote of thanks.
