Shirva: Rotary Sabhabhavana to be inaugurated on 20 Nov

Shirva, 19 November 2011: One of the senior most clubs in the Udupi districts Shirva Rotary Club, on the occasion of its 40th year of service, will be inaugurating its new building Rotary Sabhabhavana on Sunday 20th November morning at 10.30 am. This new building is built by the Centenary Memorial Shirva Trust with a estimated cost of rupees 10 lakhs on the land donated by Shirva Rotary Founder Secretary and Trust President Rotarian Paul Harris Fellow Dr. K.R. Venkatakrishna.
The building has a spacious stage, both sides green rooms, hall with 300 people seating capacity suitable for meetings and functions and veranda. The facility can be used for social programs, free health checkups, marriage function for the low income people, training for students, Gramabhivradi Yojane programs, professional training, yoga camp and other community activities.
Originally the construction work began with the support and blessings of Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Senior Yati Shri Vishvothama theertha Shripada and then with the financial support and care of Padoor Abbettuguttu Dr. N.S. Shetty and the present and past members and donors of Shirva Rotary Club, the construction work has been completed.
The inauguration will be conducted by Senior Rotarian Paul Harris Fellow Dr. N.S. Shetty. The name board will be inaugurated by Rotary Former Governer Education Expert Dr. H. Shantharam Manipal. Secretary of Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust, Shri Madhva Vadiraja Technical Institute Bantakal and Rotary District Zone 3 Deputy Governer K.R. Patkar and Lion Fredric D’Souza will be the chief guests. The inaugural program will be presided over by Shirva Rotary President Ronald Sequeira.
