Shirva: Children’s Day celebrated at Punarukere School

Shirva, 19 November 2011: The thinking capacity of the Children is better than the thinking capacity of the adults and if those thoughts are brought out, then it will be possible to create wonderful society. But instead, if those thoughts are ignored then how can we have a modern India, said Jayaram Prabhu – S.D.M.C. Member of Government Higher Primary School Punarukere. He was speaking upon inaugurating the Children’s Day celebrations by lighting the lamp at Punarukere School.
The celebrations were jointly organized by St. Mary’s Degree college Social Work Division Shirva and Government Higher Primary School Punarukere on Monday, 14th November in the morning at 10.00 am. Speaking on the occasion the Chief Guest Vignesh – Lecturer of St. Mary’s College said that, the children of today are not just the future generation, but also the future citizens. So their talents have to brought out and they should be encouraged, he said.
The program was presided over by School Headmistress Vasanthi Bai. Prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions. Children conducted verities of cultural programs. Kumari Kaustuba compeered the program. Kumari Ashmitha welcomed the guests and the gathering. Kiran proposed vote of thanks. The program was coordinated by the students Lohit Dodamani and Sunita Nayak of St. Mary’s college Social Service Division.
