Udupi: LIC Agents Union conducts protest

Udupi, 13 November 2011: Opposing the policies of the central government which is weakening the Life Insurance Corporation of India and their pending demands, the LIC Agent’s Union (L.I.C.A.I.) State committee conducted protest in front of L.I.C. office. Initiating the protest with his speech Leader Adamaru Thantri said that, the policies released by the government for the direct issue should be withdrawn, Agents Regulation 1972 amendment should be withdrawn, the rules of Agents Club should be cancelled, Insurance should be provided to the agents, in Agent pension LIC contribution should be included, the Insurance Agents should be considered as Sales Executives, their festival allowances and pension should be increased, should get rid off the Mutual fund and other such schemes and should prioritize on Life Insurance, he urged their demands.
The protest was led by LIC Agents Union State Secretary Ramesh Kumar and Treasurer B. Gurucharan Rao. Supporting the protest the LIC Employees Union President U. Gurudat and other members had participated.
