Udupi: NCC Cadets conduct Cycle Rally against Cancer

Udupi, 10 November 2011: Karnataka Battalion N.C.C. conducted the cycle rally by the N.C.C. Cadets for the public awareness on the cancer disease. N.C.C. Commanding Officer Carnal Sushil Gurung gave the direction to this rally. Upon initiating the rally Brahmavara S.M.S. College N.C.C. Officer Major G. Balakrishna Shetty confirmed the role of the students and youth in creating the awareness among the public.
In the society due to lack of knowledge and bad habits today cancer is one of the major deadly diseases. In the initial stage if this disease is found out then with proper treatment the damage can be reduced. Therefore the N.C.C. Cadets should create awareness on this in the society, said Major G. Balakrishna Shetty.
Poorna Prajna College N.C.C. Officer Captain Prakash Rao briefed on the intention of the cycle rally, rules and the precautionary methods to be followed during the rally. Subedar Major Gopal Singh, Battalion Staff Manjunatha, Giriraj and Rohit Acharya cooperated in making the cycle rally successful.
