Udupi: JDS raise public issues in press conference

Udupi, 08 November 2011: The common man’s important works are getting delayed at Udupi Taluk Office , issuing of ration cards is delayed and the works of the land survey department are not taking place transparently. On these matters petition will be submitted to the District Administration and the Government, said JDS District Vice President Louis Lobo.
Speaking in the press conference he said that, the tax department is not performing properly and the officers reply that there is no power or computer is breakdown. Even though the consumers come from long distances for getting the work done, only those who pay bribe can have the work done. In the land survey department rarely the applications are accepted. Even if they accept them they take months for completion of the work. Complaints were given on this to the higher officers, but there was no use. So the petition will be submitted to the government and the district administration, he said.
Speaking further Luis Lobo said that, JDS condemned the recent attack on St. Alphonsa Church. Vishwa Hindu Parishad has accused from this incident that there is illegal activities going on. But this has been organized by giving alcohol to a person, accused JDS Vice President Luis Lobo and said that the government has to take proper action on this. When the attack on the church taken place in 2008 also the government did not take any action, he accused.
In the press conference District Secretary Nagaraja Bhat, Backward Community Chief Secretary Jayanth Hegde and Labour Union President Balachandra Devadiga were present.
