Durgaprasad a resident of Mulubagilu of Kolar district is the one who lost the money. He had kept his brown colour VIP brief case in the rack above his seat. After some time a stranger of 35 – 40 years of age with a similar brief case entered the bus and placed it next to his brief case. At that time the conductor said ‘who’s brief case are these, which might fall in the ghat section’ and he shifted them to backside where the stranger was sitting.
The bus left at 9.35 pm from Bangalore, on the way it stopped at Chennaraya Pattana at 12.00 midnight for recess. At that time the stranger took a brief case and left. On Sunday morning at 6.20 am the bus reached Udupi and Durgaprasad got down from the bus and went to Karkala, but while he opened the brief case the money rupees 1.5 lakhs which he placed below his cloths was missing.
