Home remedies to fight hair thinning
10 May 2015: Thanks to pollution, increasing stress levels and bad quality of water, experts say that hair loss and hair thinning are at an all-time high. Help, however, is right there in your kitchen — certain oils and foods work well to help you fight hair thinning.
- Another effective remedy is to rub aloe vera gel on your scalp. Alternatively, you could also drink aloe vera juice.
- One of reasons many women (and men) face the problem of hair thinning is because they don’t oil their hair enough. Take your grandma’s advice and make oiling a regular part of your grooming regimen. Coconut oil is said to work wonders on hair. Add a few drops of lemon juice to coconut oil and massage your scalp and hair thoroughly once a week. Keep it overnight and wash it off the next day.
- Castor oil is another effective way to tackle thinning hair. Since castor oil on its own is very thick, mix it with a few drops of honey and apply the mixture on your scalp once a week.
- You could also make a paste out of fenugreek seeds. Crush the seeds n mix them with a little bit of water to make a paste. Massage this on your scalp once a week.
