Valentine D’Mello: A young man with passion for photography

Udupi, 15 Febraury 2012: Young men have lot many ideas and passion in something that they are interested and believe. Some may be interested in music, body-building, travelling or doing something new. Valentine D’Mello, who had completed his Engineering studies at Nitte and waiting to join a reputed company at Bangalore has not only an interest but passion for photography.

 
Recently,  as  i was out on a stroll in my neighbourhood, i was quite surprised to see a young man with a camera bag in hand going towards the barren fields by the riverside along with Monthu Castelino. Being curious about this young man as i was seeing him for the first time, i asked Monthu as to who the youngster was and Monthu introduced Valentine as his nephew (sister’s son).

 

 
As my interest also has been  in nature photography, Valentine and myself talked for some time about our mutual interest in photography. Valentine said that for him photography has been a hobby and he just happened to find some awesome clicks while visiting Moodubelle the previous week. In all humility, Valentine said that he does not consider it a talent, but just a passion. Further he said that Monthu Mama was quite excited about his interest in photography and he wanted to surprise him with his pictures. As he will be moving to Bangalore in a couple of weeks for work, Valentine said that he will return to Belle as he plans to click some more pictures with a different perspective and write something on it.

 

While encouraging Valentine to carry on his interest in and passion for photography, I suggested him that he could share his unique pictures with the appreciating readers of Bellevision.

 

I was quite amazed when Valentine kept his word and forwarded some of his pictures to be posted in Bellevision. Perusing the pictures, i found that Valentine has great talent in micro-photography capturing the details of the subject that he photographs.

 

Valentine was born on June 10, 1989 as the second child among two children of Valerian D’Mello of Pernal and Violet Castelino (sister of Monthu Castelino) of Moodubelle. His elder sister is working abroad. Valentine had his education in Mumbai up to HSC and thereafter completed the Engineering Course at Nitte. He has been recruited by a reputed company in Bangalore and will join the firm in a few weeks.
