Yashwant Vithoba Chittal, one of the leading Kannada fiction writers and recipient of Sahitya Academy Award passed away on Saturday March 23. He was 85. He died at a private hospital in Mumbai after a brief illness.The deceased is survived by his wife Yashawanth Chittal and two sons.
