Bahrain, 26 December 2009: The word ‘High School’ had always excited me ever since my admission to this reputed institution for 8th standard. I am proud to be an ex-student of this great institution. It gave me not only education but also taught me the moral values of life. I still remember my first class teacher and later a number of teachers who had taught me different subjects. All my teachers were very different from one another and yet special and unique in their own way. If it were not for them, I would never have been the individual that I am today.

I was an extremely timid boy those days who would literally faint at the mention of the stage. Had it not been for the encouragement given by my teachers, I would never have got rid of my stage fright. And now I love speaking. I take this opportunity to thank all my teachers for their support and dedication. I do know that it is too late now but the saying goes "its better late than never". The high school has indeed provided me with wonderful memories enough to cherish for a lifetime.

“Teachers are the key to the door which opens into the future". What a befitting statement that is to describe the unending services rendered by our teachers. They were the guiding and inspiring forces for me. Knowledgeable and practical, they reduced my burden of studies by their lucid and interesting methods of teaching. Dedicated to their responsible work, they had never been negligent of their duties. By their repeated and consistent efforts, they had brought out the best in me. The main aim they cherish is to develop my self-confidence and mould my character. I thank them for what i am today. Though strict disciplinarians, they never missed a chance to be jovial and free with all the students. I can endlessly praise them but this will sum it all up.

Whom we love the most, about them, I can say the least. I express my gratitude and love towards them. Dear teachers of St Lawrence High School, Moodubelle, I am proud to be one of your former students belonging to 1974 batch of SSLC.

Congratulations and best wishes to the Principal, all the teaching and non-teaching staff and past and present students of St Lawrence High School, Moodubelle on the happy occasion of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations.
