M’lore: CCIB Sleuths nab underworld Don Ravi Poojary’s associate Munna

Mangalore, 19 Jun 2014 : CCIB sleuths arrested thirty-year-old Mohammed Asif yane Mohammed Ali yane Munna, accomplice of underworld don Ravi Poojary, at nearby Ullal railway station here on Thursday June 19.
The sleuths recovered 3 cartridges and 2 mobile phone from Munna who was accused of supplying pistol to assailants who tried to kill Sadhana, wife of Keshav B, residing at Tacchani Mandakatte, Devipura Road, in the limits of Talapady gram panchayat and under Ullal police station, on June 9 2013.
Munna is the key accused related to illegally carrying Indian fake currency worth Rs 25 lakhs from Dubai to Bangalore during 2007, who was out on bail and absconding.
Munna is a longtime criminal as several cases are booked in Manjeshwar, Konaje, Kasargod, Vittal and also Bangalore police stations.
Munna was nabbed at the instructions of city police commissioner R Hitendra, by law and order DCP Jagdish, crime department DCP Vishnuvardan N with the co-ordinated efforts of CCIB inspector Valentine D’Souza, PSI Shyam Sundar, police personnel Sasidar Shetty, Ganesh M P, Venugopal, Chandrashekar, Dinesh Bekal, Rajendra Prasad, Sudhir Shetty, Abdul Jabbar, Mani M N and Tejakumar.
