Dubai: ’Nirel’ Tulu movie set to premiere on Valentine’s Day at Golden Cinema

Dubai, 13 Feb 2014: The much-awaited premiere show of international Tulu movie ’Nirel’ will be inaugurated by community leaders of different faiths at Golden Cinema (Plaza), Bur Dubai, here on Valentine’s Day, Friday February 14 at 10.00am.
The show is fully booked and will be the first movie to have full house capacity of 1,500 viewers in one show, which is a record. More shows are scheduled to be screened in other Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) countries, Canada and India, which will be announced soon.
Capuchin Fr Cyprian D’Souza from Mangalore, Thumbay Group founder president Moideen Thumbay, New Medical Centre managing director and chief executive officer B R Shetty, and NRI entrepreneur and philanthropist Ronald Colaco will be gracing the function along with other community leaders.

About Nirel
Nirel (English: Shadow) is an upcoming Tulu movie directed by Ranjith Bajpe and produced jointly by Shodhan Prasad and San Poojary, starring Anoop Sagar, Varun Shetty. Deepthi, Sachin Padil, Deepak Paladka in the lead roles. It was the first movie produced overseas and fully shot in Gulf country. The movie is based on the Kannada script, ‘Nadu Naduve,’ by Karthik Gowda and later translated to Tulu by Ranjit Bajpe. Karthik Gowda also wrote the screenplay for the movie and dialogues written by Ranjit Bajpe. The music for the move album was directed by Abhishek S N, a software engineer by profession from Bangalore. Cast for the movie was totally selected by an audition at Fortune Grand Hotel, Dubai. The core team of ‘Nirel’ is a group of 4 friends, San Poojary, Ranjit Bajpe, Rajneesh Amin and Sachin Padil, under the guidance of Shodhan Prasad.
Plot
The movie revolves around 3 main characters enacted by Anoop Sagar as Sachin, Varuna as Rashmi and Deepti as Shweta. Anoop is an engineer by profession but has a passion to be movie hero. Varuna is a modern girl works as a banker for one of the banking organizations of Dubai. Deepti plays a family friend to Anoop Sagar. The movie deals about how the trio is linked, what happens when ambition, passions, likes, dislikes, over reactive nature comes ahead of relationships and other things. Its expressed with a comical touch, the film then divulges to an emotional yet romantic tale.
Production
A team of 4 young guys, San Poojary, Ranjit Bajpe, Rajneesh Amin and Sachin Padil came together and planned to produce a youth oriented Tulu move with fresh concept. They approached Shodhan Prasad and he agreed to produce the movie under Sandhya Creations. The title of the movie was launched at Tulu Parba – 2012, a Tulu Cultural Fest in Dubai, UAE by B R Shetty. The muhurat of the movie was done on October 21 2012 at producer’s residence by Sarvottam Shetty. Sandalwood actor Ramesh Arvind acted in a guest role also.
Soundtrack
The music of the movie was composed by Abhishek S N, a software engineer by profession from Bangalore and music arranged by Swapnil Digde. Singers for the movie is also selected from the audition. Akshatha Rao, Pramod Kumar and Shiv Kumar among the singers selected. The music director Abhishek S N also singing a romantic song for the movie.
