M’lore: Statutory Conference of AIFUCTO Scheduled to be held in SAC from Nov 30 to Dec 2

Mangalore, 22 Nov 2013: All India Federation of University and College Teachers’ Organizations (AIFUCTO) will be organizing a three-day statutory conference in association with Association of Mangalore University College Teachers ® (AMUCT) at Loyola Hall of St Aloysius College (SAC) from Saturday November 30 to Monday December 2. Over 1,500 teachers from 25 states across the nation are expected to attend the conference.
A national seminar on Changing higher education policy under twelfth Five-Year Plan, will also be held on the occasion.
The union minister for transport, roads and highways Oscar Fernandes will inaugurate the conference on Saturday November 30 at 10.30am.
The state forest minister Ramanat Rai will release the commemorating bulletin on the occasion.
The state urban development minister Vinay Kumar Sorake will be the chief guest of the occasion.
Mangalore University vice chancellor Professor T C Shivashankaramurti will preside the function.
Mangalore south MLA J R Lobo, MLC Captain Ganesh Karnik, St Aloysius Education Institutions recotor Fr Denzel Lobo, state college education director Dr B L Bhagyalaxmi, office bearers of IFACTO and FUCTAT will be the guests of honor.
The state fisheries and youth services minister Abayachandra Jain will inaugurate the national seminar on Sunday December 1 at 10.30am.
St Aloysius College (autonomous) principal Fr Swebert D’Silva will preside the seminar.
New Delhi – Jawaharlal Nehru University Professor Ravi Srivatsava and New Delhi – NYUPA Professor Sudhanshu Bhushan will be the resource persons present their papers.
The retired office bearers of FUCTAT, IFACTO and AMUCT will be felicitated on the occasion.
The cultural extravaganza will be held on November 30 to December 1 evenings from 6.30pm.
