Udupi: National Technology Convention underway at Madwa Vadiraja Institute of Tech & Mgmt, Bantakal

Udupi, 20 Oct 2013: There is no dearth for energy resources in this earth, but its not been better used. This calls for more study and research on environment and energy resources in this regard, said Dr K E Prakash, chancellor of Vishveshwarayya Technological University, Belgaum.
Dr Prakash was speaking after inaugurating the first ever two-day inational convention on technology related to recent developments in environment and energy management organized by Madwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal at their auditorium here on Saturday October 19.
Dr Prakash urged the students to be keen on innovations and research which would be helpful in developing leadership qualities, urged Dr Prakash.
Bangalore-based Karnataka state Bio-fuel Development Board former chairman Y B Ramakrishna after releasing the handbook on convention said that the efforts are underway to create general awareness on environment and energy management in the world. Despite abundance of natural resources in the earth, only 35 percent of it is being used, while the 65 percent remains buried in crust of earth, said Ramakrishna.
Bantakal – Madwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management governing council deputy chairman P Srinivas Tantri presided the programme. The secretary M Ratnakumar spoke on behalf of Srinivas on the occasion.
Madwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management principal and convention chairman Dr Radhakrishna S Ithal delivered the introductory address. Dr A Ganesh welcomed the gathering. Radheshyam proposed vote of thanks. Aditi compered the programme.
