Valentine D’Souza to assume charge as inspector of City Crime Branch

Mangalore, 27 Sep 2013: Valentine D’Souza will take charge as inspector of City Crime Branch. He has replaced Venkatesh Prasanna. D’Souza will be assuming the charge on September 29.
A recipient of Shri Shivappa Nayak award and Shri Pulkeshi award D’Souza has served as sub-inspector at Bhatkal, Udupi, Kota and Honnavar, circle inspector at Kundapur, Terikere, Karkala and Bantwal. He has also worked as DCIB inspector in Chikmagalur.
A 1994 batch officer D’Souza was born in Sagar, Shimoga. He received his police training from Mysore academy. As body builder he won Junior Mr. India title in 1991, gold medal for three years in Mysore University. He also took part in various State and national-level competitions.He was also the recipient of Chief Minister’s gold medal in the year 2010.
