Karkala: Historical Nandalike Siri Jathre concludes with great devotion

Karkala, 29 Mar 2013: The Nandalike Mahalingeshwara Temple takes a prominent place in the history of Karkala. Thousands of devotee’s pilgrim to Nandalike Mahalingeshwara Temple seeking Lord Mahalingeshwaras blessings.
Sirijatre, Ayanothsava and Siridarshana was held at Mahalingeshwara temple here on Wednesday 27 March 2013.
Administrator of the temple N Sundarama Hegde led the temple procession from Chawadi palace. Cultural heritage in 20 forms were out in the open for the procession.
Sridarshana was the major attraction for the devotees. The traditional practices of Ayanothsav Bali, Kardideepotsav, Karadeepa Kattepooja, Shree Kumara Abbuga-Daraga Darshna vesha which was held till early morning became a feast for eye and a treat for devotion.
The temple was crowded with devotees from dawn. With great pleasure the Annasantarpane (meals) were served to the devotees. The traditional look of the temple with lights and decors was delightful.
Political leaders, eminent personalities along with the common man seeked blessings from the Lord.
