The deceased is Padmini (28), wife of Chandrahas Shettigar. Shettigar had married Padmini from Mogaveerapattana in Ullal four years ago. They were staying in a joint family and Shettigar was working in Mumbai in the past. For the last one year, he has been working as flower merchant in Haleyangadi. Shivani was going to nursery school.

As usual, Shettigar had gone for work. As everyone at home thought that Padmini was sleeping, no one bothered to check until somebody saw the rope of the well hanging in the afternoon. When the family members peeped into the well, they saw the child holding the rope and Padmini’s body floating in the water, said Shettigar’s sister-in-law Geetha. The baby was rescued with the help of labourers.
Padmini’s family members who rushed by evening created a scene at home alleging that the family members were responsible for the death of Padmini. A case has been registered.

Although I do not lke to read such incidents, I am happy that the little angel survived. She is the winner...I believe in the fact that " To live one has to put efforts...to die it is easy" and only cowards do that....!!!???? |
