Mumbai: Model Co-op Bank holds customer meet of different branches

Mumbai, 18 Feb 2015: The Model Co-op Bank organized its Customer Meet of Andheri, Borivli, Fort, Mahim, Malad, Mira Road and Vasai branches at Hotel Kohinoor Continental, Andheri here on recently.
The Bank chairman Albert W D’Souza, deputy chairman William Sequeira, founder chairman John D’Silva, directors Vincent Mathias, Paul Nazareth, Lawrence D’Souza, advocate Pius Vas, Ronald Mendonca, Lazarus Menezes, Philip Pinto, Thomas Lobo, Benedicta Rebello and Abraham Lobo were present on the dais.
Albert W D’Souza delivered the key-note address and briefed the customers about the genesis of the Bank and the present financial position urging the customers support us in achieving the target of Rs 750 crores to get Scheduled status. He also said, ‘Bank is on growth path and we have received 3 new licenses to open branches in Andheri-West, Dahisar-West and CBD-Belapur.’
The general manager Francis Vaz briefed on the banking produces and services.
John D’Silva emphasized that shareholders and customers are the owners of the Bank and they should take keen interest in the working of the Bank. The Bank has since grown and is providing multiple services like ATM’s, SMS alerts, personalized cheque book services etc. He stated that all should support the Bank in surpassing the Rs 750 crore deposit in their centenary year- 2016.
The Chairman invited suggestions and constructive criticism from the audience with a view to improving the Bank’s services.
The function was well attended by over 250 guests. Several customers appreciated the personalized services of the Bank’s Branches and congratulated the staff for quick paperwork & disbursal of loans. Customers suggestions with regard to maintaining similar timings for all Branches, reduction in rates of interest for housing loans, commencement of Online Banking as also cash delivery at the customer’s office, starting of a branch at Vasai (West) organizing branch-wise customer meets were put forth.
William Sequeira replied to the various queries of bank customers.
Vincent Mathias addressed the gathering and informed that the Bank will be celebrating centenary in 2016 and made a special appeal to raise deposits so that the Bank can apply for Scheduled status to coincide with the Centenary celebrations.
The Bank additional general manager Harold M Serrao welcomed the gathering. The additional general manager William D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks.
