Mangalore: St Aloysius College innovates on elections for Student Council

Mangalore, 17 Jun 2014: St Aloysius College (Autonomous) saw a novel system of elections on Saturday June14, popularly called ‘Indirect System’ of elections by the management.
The new unexpected model of voting led to various astonishing outcomes, including the victory of a female candidate for the post of the President for the first time in the history of Aloysian elections, as well as two BCA candidates leading the Students Council.
Lizane Tanya D’Souza, III B Com student was elected the President of the Students Council, along with Vineet Lasrado, III BCA as the Vice President, Satshya Anna Tharien, III B A student as the Joint secretary and Deepak Baliga, II BCA student as the Secretary for the academic year 2014 - 15.
