Udupi: ICYM kuntalnagar organises program on Government Sector Jobs

Udupi, 17 Feb 2014: At the aegis of Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) of Udupi deanery, ICYM unit of St Antony’s parish, Kuntalnagar, near here organized daylong seminar on Government sector jobs at the parish mini hall, here on Sunday February 16.
Udupi district deputy commissioner of excise George Pinto, Income Tax Officer (ITO) Iola Tauro was the resource persons.
Udupi diocesan youth commission director Fr Edwin D’Souza, Kuntalnagar parish priest Fr Denis D’Sa, Udupi deanery ICYM director Fr Alban D’Souza, Udupi deanery ICYM animator Maxim D’Sa, were also present.
Both the resource persons George and Iola elaborated on the significance of government jobs that was empower the community in addressing their various issues.
The Indian Armed Forces retired soldier Robert D’Sa was felicitated on the same occasion. He shared his experiences of serving in armed forces.
Vinishiya Mendonca compered the programme. ICYM Udupi deanery secretary Amritha D’Silva proposed vote of thanks.
Fr Edwin delivered the valedictory address on Sunday afternoon.
Fr Edwin stressed on the need for community youth to pursue government sector jobs for the welfare of the society.
Dr Manoj D’Lima conducted different games after the lunch. The programme concluded with ICYM anthem on Sunday evening.
Nearly 75 youth participated actively in the daylong programme.
