Mumbai: Joyful Start to Mira-Bhayandar Christmas Carol Carnival

Mumbai, 15 Dec 2013: The Four days Mega Christmas Carol Carnival was organized by St. Joseph Church, Mira Road under the leadership of Small Christian Communities on 14th, 15th & 16th & 17th December, 2013. The carnival was blessed by Rev. Fr. Dominic Vas, Parish Priest of St. Joseph Church and inaugurated by Fr.Ivan D’souza & Mr. Clifford Faria. Since the theme of this year was "Joy in the Family-Joy to the World" the purpose of this Carnival was to spread peace and religious harmony and to create awareness of Family Values said Fr. Dominic before beginning the Carol Carnival.
The three tableaus with Christmas crib depicting Jesus’ birth place were led by a chariot, driven by the effervescent Santa Claus followed by Choir, School Children, Live music Band and dance performers/pom-pom girls. Along with them hundreds of people joined dancing and singing energetically to the glory of the festive event.
On the first day floats went through the streets of Mira road and halted at more than 20 main junctions and gave the message of peace and joy. This carnival had elegance and exuberance galore!
The four-day event will pass across Mira-Bhayandhar city and will conclude on Tuesday,December 17 night.
