M’lore: SAC to Organize National Workshop on Changing Contours of Indian Economy on Sep 24

Mangalore, 21 Sep 2013: St Aloysius College (Autonomous) department of economics, in association with Association of Mangalore University College Teachers (AMUCT) will be organizing a UGC sponsored national level workshop themed Changing contours of Indian economy at Eric Mathias Hall in the PG block of St Aloysius College here on Tuesday September 24.
Professor Jancy James, vice chancellor of Central University of Kerala, Kasargod will inaugurate the workshop on Tuesday at 10.00am and deliver the keynote address.
Fr Swebert D’Silva SJ, principal of St Aloysius College will preside the workshop.
Mysore University former chairman – department of studies in political science Dr Muzaffar Assadi, Trichur – Dr John Mathai Centre department of economics former chairman Dr Mani K P, Bangalore-based Azim Premji University – Law, Governance and Development Initiative (LGDI) assistant Professor Dr A Narayana, will be the resource persons.
The resource persons will address on Political economy of agrarian transformation, Infrastructure for change: status, challenges and options and India’s development strategy: continuity and change respectively.
